 I took August off. I just needed a break and truthfully, I'm not sure too many people are following this BLOG. Anyway. I'm back. Let's talk about some misconceptions with numbers and statistics.  I've mentioned this before. Numbers and statistics can be molded to say whatever it is you want to say. You can ignore criteria or include it. You can fluff it up or downplay your data to suit your needs, desires or the message you want to present. For instance, Hillary Clinton won the 2016 election. She did if we only counted the votes and not played into that horrible, out-dated, misaligned Electoral College. Maybe. Will we have the same results this time? Maybe. Maybe not. As of today, Labor Day, Biden is ahead in the polls. But so was Clinton in 2016. Polls can be deceiving. It discounts certain demographics or makes assumptions on others. Every country, county, city and organization has one of these. The these I'm referring to is a flag. Flags date back centuries. They were used mostly to identify an army or a kingdom. Flags were used to signal via semaphore code. Nautical flags were used to communicate with allied forces as well as their own ships or in peacetime, to signal a diver down or an emergency. Social or local organizations each have their own flags to differentiate their organizations from others. I'm no fan of flags of any kind. So, when it comes to the pledge of allegiance or the national anthem, I'm very apathetic. A flag does not make a country. The people do. However, I understand the symbolism and why people get their knickers all in a twist when someone disrespects the flag. And that's good for them. These days, we are so ffocused and fixated on the Coronavirus and social distancing, etc. that the impending Presidential election has taken a seat at the back of the bus. You know, where all the cool kids sit. But one thing has shaken ouut in all this. I don't have to leave my home to vote in the primary. Not on April 28th or on the new date, June 2nd. Little does it matter. There's only one candidate left. This pisses me off beccause I can't exercise my right to vote. Why bother? Biden was not my guy. I have lost count to the quarantined days because due to a knee injury, I have been shut up in my apartment for most of the last 30-40 days. Except for the dash down to the local grocers, I have not been hanging out in parks chasing little old ladies or any of my other outdoorsy hobbies. I don't mind the seclusion as I can really get into me and not be inundated with other people's shite. I know that sounds antisocial, but a little antisocial is okay. Ask me in June or July if we are still self-imprisoned. I might be ready to kill some mother flocker. However, at this moment, I am Zen as Fahk. What I am not zen about is the shite that's going on in the rest of the country and especially the stupidity from the White House.
