Day 14: "Post your favorite movies that you never get tired of watching."
Who would have thought I'd last this long? Commitment is not one of my stronger suits when it comes to the pursuit of entertainment. But day 14 brings me something that I can really sink my teeth into. The strange thing here is that I have over 100 movies on a 2T drive and I've yet to go back and watch any. It's pathetic and sick. I'm like a movie hoarder. The problem is there are still so many other films and programs I've missed over the years. I must see those first before revisiting ones I've already seen and own. The good thing is I haven't had the desire to add any new ones. Well except for any new Pixar movies. I'm such a fiend for animation. It stems from my childhood and the hours of watching Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. I saw a lot of Disney too, but no one beats Bugs, not even the Evil Mouse Empire.
I noticed my sister's blog loaded up with films by category with links and stuff. She really likes to work hard. I might go cheap and easy and list not my favorites as much as the ones that happen to be on the tube that I can watch from any point until the end. Almost like an addiction. I found that most of the movies on her blog are similar to mine. And let's face it, I like to write and all but I've got other things to do sometimes, especially on a soon to be dreary, stormy Sunday afternoon, like watch DVDs of old sitcoms I never got to see, Newsradio and Futurama (the Comedy Central years).
Lazy Tom is going to make this list brief with limited commercial interruptions and special effects.
There are the movies that no matter at what point the film is I have to watch it to the end. If the film is half over, I can still watch it. There are some movies that are just that entertaining that anywhere is a good place to start especially if you've seen it before.
I think I covered the bulk of it. If you want lists, click some of my links. Get over it.
Tomorrow's subject (Day 15): Bullet point your day (This is going to be a good one. I'll write this one after work, especially dealing with that class of assholes.)

- Any Pixar movie, especially Up <squirrel >, Monsters, Inc. and Monster University.
- Trading Places - there's just something about that film.
- Any Monty Python movie and there's plenty to choose from.
- Just about any comedy from the 1980s. It seemed to be a good decade for that genre. The link is not a complete list but it captures most of the films for which I ran to the theatre at every opportunity.
- Any Star Wars, Star Trek or any movie with the word Star or outer space theme in its title. Yes, even that travesty Plan 9 from Outer Space would catch my attention. It's something about a train wreck that you gives you pause.
- Any action adventure film like James Bond and Indiana Jones (even the two bad ones). I'm just hooked no matter what.
- Any films starring these actors: Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, John Candy, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd or Michael J. Fox to name a few.
- Any Mel Brooks movies and some Woody Allen comedies, mostly his early works.
