Coronavirus, Part 9 - Pets

I don't know if you have heard. Apparently, our pets can contract this virus. As the virus came from the animal kingdom and transferred to human, it would seem plausible that it can be transferred back. But how?

Me being me, I believe if you have it, you can give it to your pet. If you don't have it, but they get it from let's say someone else's pet who has it because their owner has it, you could probably get it from your pet. Oh, the shitstorm is brewing again. I am overreacting a bit. Don't listen to me. Read on. Listen to these people. They're medically trained. I am not a doctor. I only play one when I'm walking through maternity offering free pelvic examinations.

The AVMA has stated that there is no proof that your pet can transmit the virus through petting your pet. They claim that your pet probably won't catch it from you, but to exercise proper protocol for the virus. Their website does cite that a few critters have been infected in Hong Kong and Belgium. Yet, other pets remain uninfected from owners who are. They do go into quite a bit of detail which I will not regurgitate here but gave you a link to read for yourself. Click the name acronym above. And for fux sake, take this threat seriously and watch-out for all the little ones even the furry little ones.

Working from home has afforded me daily entertainment from the safety of my apartment through my factory size windows. I live in an "upscale" apartment that was once part of a long closed factory. The entertainment is in the form of dogs gaily playing and jumping about in the dog park in the apartment complex, also a former part of the factory, next to mine. There the pooches chase each other, share toys and whatever. There's one that apparently is indiscreet and tries to sniff at all the other dogs' genitals as well as hump everything in site. He's a randy little fellow. His owner is a rather attractive young blond. But she like her dog and the other dog lover owners are not practicing social distancing. They fall into that category of "I'm young and invincible." I wish I could be that cocky again. Hopefully, they're all healthy and their doggies will stay the same way.

I'm sure I've given my opinion but in case I haven't or to risk overstating myself, I will opine upon this illness or disease. Whatever you wish to call it. I believe no matter what we do, we may still catch it. We may still die. We may get sick but survive. We may have it and never feel any of the symptoms and will get over it. And lastly, there may be a few of us (a minority) that will have a natural immunity. The government fools and the strictly think inside the box medical community may not agree with me, but I'm nearly living proof when it comes to chicken pox. Everyone in my family as well as all the neighborhood kids our age back in the 1960s contracted chicken pox. If awards were to be given out for the child with the least amount of little itchy red bumps, that award would have been given to me. I truly had the lightest case of chicken pox ever seen by anyone who had the misfortune to have suffered through a case themselves. Anything is possible. Nothing is ever certain or absolute. There will always be exceptions and anomalies.

They claim this week is going to be the toughest week yet. I don't know about that. Ask the people who have already died or their relatives who are mourning them. Sometimes I think the best thing to say is nothing at all. But the government and the media keep up their blathering. I guess you need to fill those airwaves with something. I think reruns of Gilligan's Island would be better then the crap Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and OAN (are they really a news network? Or just a Trump propaganda machine?) are flooding our homes.

Well, folks. It's far from over yet. Shelter in Place and take care of your loved ones, especially the kitties and doggies. TTFN.

How The New Mexican Government And Prison System Failed Its People

Anyone who knows me knows I like mystery and crime stories, especially true crime. So, I am a huge fan and viewer of the Investigation Discovery network. I view many programs and have my favorites. One show I recently stumbled upon was "Surviving Evil" hosted by the stunning actress, Charisma Carpenter , who herself a crime survivor. She and two friends suffered at the hands of a violent serial rapist and police officer Henry Hubbard, Jr. on San Diego's Torrey Pines State Beach in 1991. I don't want to go on about her, her surviving her attack or even the ID program, which airs Thursdays at 9 pm and re-airs throughout the week and is available On Demand. Well, actually, I do want to speak about one episode from the current season (the 3rd season), but not the show as much as how the law failed to truly punish the perpetrator of this crime. The show titled "Escaping The Arroyo" interviews the one surviving victim and tells the horrific story about two whi...

My First Blog

Unless I'm already mentally or emotionally stirred up I find it difficult to start anything.  Be it a rant, a conversation or a writing.  I'm sure if I don't get bored or disillusioned I will have something interesting or controversial to say.  I might even drop an occasional F bomb.   As this is my first outing, I will insert many random thoughts that clearly will lack continuity or proper linkage.  I will sound like a mental patient or someone suffering from Alzheimer's.  For instance, tomorrow is my birthday.  I turn 55.  Who cares, right?  Why are we so self-absorbed with ourselves?  I know from my POV I want to rule the world, be famous and shag any girl I desire.  I also know, as I'm sure you do too, that that's just not going to happen...ever.  But without these little dreams/daydreams I'd find it more difficult to crawl out of bed most mornings.   Random thought #2:  How do people quote lines by fa...

The JetBlue Fashion Police Takes A Bite Out Of ?????

I'll start off by saying that I have no love for JetBlue or any airliner for that matter. But with their latest allowance of employee empowerment to make fashion decisions or to determine what is proper flight attire solidifies why I will never fly with them. They have permanently joined the "I-won't-fly" ranks of American Airlines, Delta and Frontier Airlines. Though I find the young woman's outfit more suited for trolling Walmart or lounging around the house, there is nothing illicit, illegal or obscene to warrant being forced into a wardrobe change prior to boarding her Boston to Seattle flight or to suffer being removed from the flight altogether. If she passed through security that should be good enough. Also, this girl's ass makes that shite work. Work it honey. I'm a little sick and tired of reading about the morality police. People take their job duties beyond the job description into the realm where no customer service personnel should ever ...
